Australian Sustainable Hardwoods - House 1702

House 1702 Banner

House 1702 – a beautiful yet robust home suitable for the family and pets inhabiting it. The idea of connectiveness was conceptualised through the central courtyard that acts as a hub for the family.

Designed by Olaver Architecture, House 1702 respects the existing weatherboard home whilst adding an extension to accommodate the client’s brief. Olaver Architecture is ‘an architecture practice which pursues excellence in design and approach’. The firm works on public and private buildings, commercial, residential and utilitarian spaces.

House 1702 has a centrally located kitchen, meals and living area. The separated design creates privacy for the parent’s quarters, yet connects them through a large sliding window.

'The palette of blonde timber, crisp white walls and olive green accents creates a calming, nature-like atmosphere'. Olaver Architecture

GoodWood Victorian ash is seen throughout House 1702, having been used for the windows and doors, joinery (veneers) and for the bathroom vanity. GoodWood Victorian ash provides architects and designers the ability to use the one timber to match throughout several different applications.

'We often use Victorian ash for both its warmth and consistency. It’s a versatile timber which suits myriad applications' Olaver Architecture

With over 3,000 profiles available, GoodWood can be used for a number of products like stairs, battens, solid and veneer joinery, window and doors, architraves, flooring, wall lining, benchtops and more.
